Save our indigenous fauna and flora!
Managing invasives are important to save the indigenous species and maintain a balanced ecology.
Cape Town has a project to manage invasives. Their website is very informative and covers aquatic plants, terrestrial plants, and animals including birds. For Zandvlei the mallard ducks are a particular area of concern.
There is also an Early Detection and Rapid Response (EDRR) project.
